Master of Health Administration (MHA)

The Master of Health Administration (MHA) program offers a competency-based curriculum and professional development activities, preparing graduates for managerial roles in various healthcare settings. With a broad curriculum emphasizing knowledge, analytical skills, and core values, graduates secure fellowships or full-time positions in hospitals, academic centers, long-term care facilities, health plans, and consulting firms post-completion.

Our MHA program is CAHME accredited. Learn more about the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME). Our MHA program is also involved in the CAHME Mentorship Circle (CMC).

Degree Requirements
Competencies & Curriculum

The MHA curriculum spans two academic years and entails 60 credits of full-time study, covering health management, policy, methods, public health foundations, and electives.

Practical Experience

MHA students are required to complete a full-time Management Residency experience of at least 450 hours prior to graduation.

Masters Essay

All MPH, MHA, and joint-degree students must fulfill the School of Public Health's capstone requirement by completing a Master's Essay.
