MPH in environmental and occupational health accredited by national council

The School of Public Health is pleased to announce the MPH in Environmental and Occupational Health degree program has been accredited by the National Environmental Health Science and Protection Accreditation Council (EHAC). New to the school, the six-year-long accreditation attests to the quality of our education and training of environmental and occupational health science and protection practitioners.

The criteria EHAC applies to accreditation includes a focus on core sciences and practical skills – internships, lab and field experiences – that contribute to a comprehensive learning experience. Its purpose is to produce graduates who are well prepared to address the many challenges of environmental and occupational health.

The EHAC accreditation comes on the heels of the early June announcement about the Council on Education for Public Health’s reaccreditation of the School of Public Health for an additional period of 7 years.  Achieving two accreditations in one year is illustrative of Pitt Public Health’s excellence and commitment to grow the next generation of public health leaders.
